Paul describes moving from the Old Covenant to the New as similar to moving from childhood to adulthood. As kids, we often do things for immature reasons (even if they’re the right things). In adulthood, those motivations go away, and we have to embrace mature reasons for making good decisions. Let’s leave fear of judgement in the Old Testament and live for God because we love Him!
